How the random Pokémon team generator works
Every click of the random team generator draws 6 different Pokémon from the full National Pokédex (1,025 species) with no duplicates. Don't like one pick? Hit Reroll under that slot to swap just that Pokémon while keeping the rest of your team. The Copy Team button puts all six names on your clipboard, one per set, which is the format Pokémon Showdown's Import/Export box expects — it also reads fine pasted into a Discord chat or your Nuzlocke notes.
Filters
Narrow the draw by type (any selected type counts, so Fire and Water draws from either), by generation, or to fully evolved species only. Legendaries are a three-way choice rather than a switch: allow them, exclude them, or draw a team made entirely of legendaries and mythicals — there are 94 to pick from. A counter next to the filters shows how many species still qualify before you generate, and warns you when fewer than six are left.
Share the exact team you rolled
The team you are looking at is written into the page address, so Copy Link gives you a URL that opens on those same six Pokémon for anyone you send it to. That is what makes a friendly battle workable — both players look at one roster instead of comparing screenshots. The link holds the species themselves rather than a random seed, so it keeps working regardless of later changes to how the draw is made.
The shared-weakness check
Under your team you'll see a warning when two or more members are weak to the same attacking type — the classic "oops, half my team loses to Ground" problem. It accounts for dual types properly (a 4× weakness still counts once per Pokémon). Use it to decide which slot to reroll, or ignore it entirely — chaos is part of the fun. Is this a Pokémon team builder?
Not quite. This is a random team generator: it hands you six species and a shared-weakness check, rather than letting you hand-pick a roster and tune movesets or EV spreads the way Showdown's Teambuilder does. If you want to choose all six yourself and analyze the result, use the team builder instead.
Does the team generator include movesets or abilities?
No — each click only picks six Pokémon species. Roll movesets and abilities separately afterward if you want full builds, not just a roster.
