Random Pokémon Team Generator

A random Pokémon team builder: build a team of 6 unique Pokémon — filter by generation, keep or ban legendaries, reroll any single slot, and check your team's shared weaknesses before you battle.

Generations(none selected = all)

How the team generator works

Every click draws 6 different Pokémon from the full National Pokédex (1,025 species) with no duplicates. Don't like one pick? Hit Reroll under that slot to swap just that Pokémon while keeping the rest of your team. The Copy Teambutton puts all six names on your clipboard — ready to paste into Pokémon Showdown's team builder, a Discord chat, or your Nuzlocke notes.

The shared-weakness check

Under your team you'll see a warning when two or more members are weak to the same attacking type — the classic "oops, half my team loses to Ground" problem. It accounts for dual types properly (a 4× weakness still counts once per Pokémon). Use it to decide which slot to reroll, or ignore it entirely — chaos is part of the fun. Want the offensive side too — what types your team can actually hit? Check the type coverage calculator.

Popular ways to use it

  • Randomizer & Nuzlocke runs — commit to whatever six the generator hands you.
  • Friendly battles — both players generate a team with the same filters and build from there.
  • Fully-evolved only — turn the filter on for battle-ready teams instead of a squad of Magikarp and Caterpie.

Is this a Pokémon team builder?

It's a random team builder, not a competitive moveset/EV editor like Showdown's Teambuilder. Use it when you want a fast, random roster — with a shared-weakness check built in — instead of hand-picking six Pokémon and optimizing spreads.

Does the team generator include movesets or abilities?

No — each click only picks six Pokémon species. Roll movesets and abilities separately afterward if you want full builds, not just a roster.
