Why generate shinies?
Shiny Pokémon have an alternate, rarer color scheme — normally a 1-in-several-thousand encounter in the games. This generator lets you preview any Pokémon's shiny form instantly, without needing to actually hunt for it.
How people use this
Useful for deciding which shiny to hunt for next (some shiny recolors are much more popular than others), for showing off what a Pokémon's shiny looks like before committing to a long hunt, or just for fun.
