How to play Pokémon Wordle
Pokémon Wordle is a guess-the-Pokémon-by-its-stats game: a secret Pokémon is chosen from all 1,025 species in the National Pokédex. Type any Pokémon's name as a guess, and each guess reveals five clues comparing it to the answer:
- Gen — 🟩 means same generation; ↑ means the answer is from a later generation, ↓ an earlier one.
- Type 1 & Type 2 — 🟩 exact slot match, 🟨 the answer has that type in its other slot, ⬜ not one of its types at all.
- Weight — whether the answer is heavier (↑) or lighter (↓) than your guess.
- BST — base stat total, higher (↑) or lower (↓). Fully-evolved and legendary Pokémon sit at the top of this range.
Strategy tips
- Open with a dual-type, mid-weight, mid-BST Pokémon from a middle generation (Gen 4–5) to split the search space fast.
- The weight clue is sneaky-powerful: legendaries and pseudo- legendaries are almost all heavy, while most Gen 1 classics are surprisingly light.
- A 🟨 type clue narrows things dramatically — flip your next guess's type slots and watch it turn green.
Daily vs. Unlimited
The daily puzzle is the same for every player worldwide and resets at 00:00 UTC — perfect for comparing your emoji results with friends. Unlimited mode deals a fresh random Pokémon every round, as many rounds as you want, and makes a great warm-up before tackling the daily.
