A full type chart and richer type and generation pages — 2026-09-25

  • The Type Calculator now includes the full 18×18 type chart, readable at a glance without picking a type.
  • Every type page opens with a profile of that type, lists every typing it appears in with its Pokémon, and shows what its moves hit on offense.
  • Every generation page now covers that generation's history, its legendary and mythical Pokémon, and the typings it introduced.
  • Type and generation pages no longer roll a Pokémon on load; press the button when you want one.
  • Both articles show when they were published and last updated. The FireRed & LeafGreen guide now covers where to get every team member and which Pokémon handles each boss.

Real wheels, smarter calculators, and generation picks in the quizzes — 2026-09-24

  • The Type Wheel is now a real spinning wheel of all 18 types, and the Pokémon Wheel shrinks to one slice per Pokémon when fewer than 12 match your filters.
  • Who's That Pokémon and the Cry Quiz let you choose which generations to play. This replaces the Cry Quiz's Classic and All modes.
  • The Stat Calculator shows every stat's range from IV 0 to 31, and the IV Calculator shows the in-game Judge rating for each result.
  • The Coverage Calculator no longer stops at six types, since covering all 18 takes at least seven.
  • The Team Builder uses a single Pokédex picker, and its defensive matrix now has a legend.
  • The Games menu in the header lists every game, and tool pages show breadcrumbs.
  • Retired the Pokédex Tracker.

A spinning Pokémon wheel — 2026-09-23

  • The Pokémon Wheel is now a spinning wheel of 12 Pokémon instead of slot-machine reels, with the same filters as the main generator.
  • The moveset generator lets you choose the Pokémon instead of always rolling one.
  • Retired the Pokémon to Draw page.

A nickname generator and a better team generator — 2026-09-22

  • The Name Generator is now a nickname generator: pick a Pokémon and get ideas in seven categories.
  • The Team Generator gained a type filter and shareable links to a generated team.

PickPokemon — 2026-09-21

  • The site now goes by one name, PickPokemon, everywhere.
  • The Legendary and Shiny generator pages were expanded to match the Starter page.

Pokédex details for any result — 2026-08-31

  • Click any generated Pokémon to open its details: types, Pokédex entry, and base stats.
  • Homepage results now use the same card style as the other generator pages.

A new mobile menu — 2026-08-17

  • The mobile menu is now a top sheet with collapsible groups.

Generation pages — 2026-08-16

  • Added a random generator page for each generation, Gen 1 to Gen 9, with the full list of that generation's Pokémon.

Team Builder, Nature Chart, and a menu that fits on a phone — 2026-08-10

  • Added the Team Builder: pick your own six and see shared weaknesses, types nothing on the team resists, STAB coverage gaps, and a full matchup matrix. Your team saves in your browser.
  • Added the Nature Chart: all 25 natures as the classic 5×5 grid, filterable by the stat you want to raise or lower, with each nature's berry flavors.
  • Added "The Best FireRed & LeafGreen Team" — three teams, one per starter, checked against all eight gyms and the Elite Four.
  • The header nav is now a slide-out menu on phones instead of a cramped row, and Articles finally has a spot in it.

Type tools, a Tools hub, and a simpler name generator — 2026-08-05

  • Added the Type Wheel, Type Calculator, Coverage Calculator, Stat Calculator, and IV Calculator.
  • Every type page (Fire, Water, etc.) now lists every Pokémon of that type, not just the generator.
  • Added an All Tools page and a Tools dropdown in the header for one-click access to everything on the site.
  • Simplified the Name Generator to just the Fakemon name maker — removed the "real Pokémon name" mode, since it duplicated the homepage generator.

Mobile: generate first, filter later — 2026-08-04

  • The Generate button and your result now show up before the filter panel, so you don't have to scroll past 18 type buttons on mobile just to get a random Pokémon.

Four new generators, a games hub, and an article — 2026-07-29

  • Added the Team Generator, Name Generator, Moveset Generator, and Ability Generator.
  • Added a Games hub: Who's That Pokémon, Pokémon Wordle, Pokémon Cry Quiz, and the Pokédex Tracker.
  • Added "The 16 Creepiest Pokédex Entries of All Time."

Redesign, wheel, and draw prompts — 2026-07-28

  • Redesigned the site with the current candy-color look and animated interactions.
  • Added the Pokémon Wheel (slot-machine style reveal) and Random Pokémon to Draw.

Launched — 2026-07-27

  • Random Pokémon Generator goes live: pick a random Pokémon with filters for type, generation, starter status, legendary rarity, and shiny form.
